Two more Molly and Mommy Fridays.
Just two more. And then you start Kindergarten.
How did this happen? How did you zoom from zero to five in a week?
Molly - our Fridays together have been some of our best days. When you were little, we'd just go for stroller rides and have tummy time... and go meet Daddy for lunch. Then we graduated to Ballet and Pancakes, play dates, and LOTS of visits to the park. We've made some of our best friends on our Friday outings. Some Fridays we'd run errands... other Fridays we'd go to the zoo. And sometimes, we'd just hang out at home and color. It was on a Friday I first introduced you to "Mary Poppins" - which is now your favorite movie.
Sometimes we'd have visitors on Fridays -- so we always said it was Mommy and Molly Day with Very Special Guest Star Daddy, or Grandma and Grandpa... or whoever was joining us. And whenever we had a weekend road trip planned, we could start out a day early -- because Fridays were ours.
Fridays have always been our special day.
And now, you're headed off to Kindergarten. Even on Fridays.
When you're older, you may not remember our Molly and Mommy Days. (Although I expect you will, Miss Memory Like an Elephant...) But know that I will always remember the great times and fun adventures we've had on our special day together.
Fridays will always be ours.
I love you, peanut.
Love, Mommy

Molly and Mommy Friday - with Special Guests!
Since Daddy has been gone, and since Uncle Jim fixed Molly's playtable (our former coffee table) into a worktable worthy of a Kindergartner and wanted to get it to us, Aunt Lois and Uncle Jim came for a visit Thursday evening.
We went out to dinner and had a fun time visiting. Then, Friday morning, Molly showed them her favorite new park.
After visiting all the animals, (and getting follwed around by some ducks) Molly informed us that she had "114 wiggles" that she needed to get out on the playground.
After a little more than an hour, (which included 14 trips down the slide, 20 visits to the swing, and 40 sprints around the place) she declared that all of the wiggles were gone. We had a great lunch at Culver's, then (as Molly and I headed up for nap) Aunt Lois and Uncle Jim headed home.
Thanks for a great visit -- and a special guest appearance during Molly and Mommy Day! (I don't want to even count how many are left...)

The Last Dance
Sweetie -
Tomorrow is your last ballet class at preschool. The last one. Wasn't our first ballet and pancakes Friday just yesterday?
(Wow - these first lesson vs. your last lesson photos say it all, don't they? You were so LITTLE way back then...)
Ballet and pancakes has been such a special tradition for us. I know we'll have a new ballet school to look forward to and many new traditions to enjoy... but it's just another reminder that Mommy and Molly Fridays are quickly coming to an end. You told me tonight, "You know, Mommy - I'm going to go to Kindergarten five days a week."
I know, sweetie - I know.

Tete a Tot First: The Lasts Begin
Today was the last watch day at ballet before the recital... the last watch day of ballet at your school... the last watch day of our Mommy and Molly ballet and pancake Fridays.
It's been so incredibly special, being able to be there... watching you as you do something that I always loved so much.
I'm going to miss our Mommy and Molly days -- but there are some of the most special memories I have.
Love you, ballerina.
Love, Mommy
